Arthur Junior ""Dick"" Edmondson, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born September 3, 1935 in Brownington, Missouri, the son of Arthur and Viola Catherine (Oliphant) Edmondson. He departed this life Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at his home in Harrisonville at the age of 70 years, 10 months and 23 days.
Dick was employed as an assembler for General Motors Leed's Plant, Kansas City, Missouri until his retirement in 1990. He was also employed as a part time Deputy for the Cass County SheriffÕs Department. Dick was an Army veteran. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Harrisonville and the United Auto Workers Union Local #92, Kansas City. Dick had moved to Harrisonville in 1948.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alva Edmondson.
He is survived by two daughters, Charlotte J. Edmondson, Greenfield, Missouri, Connie P. Claspell and husband Lewis, Colorado Springs, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Abigail, Jason, Ashley, Alexandra, Anthony, Matthew and Joshua; three sisters, Helen Evans, Harrisonville, Missouri, Mary Esther Reeves, Lee's Summit, Missouri, Mary Evelyn Oesth, Odessa, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A memorial service was held Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
