Beverly Ann McFerrin

Beverly Ann McFerrin, of Kansas City, Missouri was born June 18, 1946 in Garden City, Kansas the daughter of Allen Alfred and Ioma Verna (Lotspeich) McFerrin. She departed this life on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at her home in Kansas City at the age of 71 years, 7 months and 2 days.

Beverly grew up with her brother Jerry in Belton, Missouri. She graduated from Belton High School in 1965, attended college at Hardin-Simmons University in Texas for interior design.

Beverly was an interior designer for John Rufenacht Associates in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended the 2nd Presbyterian Church in Kansas City. Beverly loved the outdoors and so enjoyed fishing, hiking, and playing tennis. She had a green thumb like her mother growing flowers in her flower garden. She was a compassionate animal lover, who rescued many animals over the years.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald "Jerry" McFerrin and a nephew, Christopher McFerrin.

Beverly is survived by her niece, Melissa McFerrin-Foss and two great-nephews, Andrew and Zachary Foss all of Belton, Missouri; lifelong friend, John Rufenacht, Kansas City, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.

In celebration of Bev’s love and zest for life, please dress in cheerful colors.

Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February4, 2018 at the funeral home.

Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Chain of Hope KC, Spay/Neuter KC or National Kidney Foundation.
