Ret. USAF MSgt. Randy Lee Lawson, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born on June 14, 1964 in Richmond, MO to Cecil and Norma (Bradley) Lawson who survive him. He departed this life on January 8, 2018 at the age of 53.
On August 4, 1984, Randy was united in marraige to Laura Truman at Scott Air Force Base, IL.
Randy was a Jet Engine Mechanic in the Air Force and retired after 21 years and 8 months of service. During his time in the Air Force, he was stationed at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, Ramstein, Germany, and Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. He served in the Gulf War and Operation Enduring Freedom. After retirement he worked at PSWD #2 and later PSWD #11. He was also an amazing photographer who enjoyed meeting new people, who almost always became friends after the sessions were over.
He was preceeded in death by his brother Rickey Lawson.
Randy is survived by his wife, Laura Lawson of the home; two sons, Brennen Lawson and his wife Katie of Edwardsville, IL and their daughters Brooklyn and Hollyn, and Braden Lawson of the home; his daughter Breena Hoffman and her husband Christian of Maysville, NC and their soon-to-be born son Hudson; two sisters, Connie Borgstadt of West Plains, MO and Sheri Dody of Clinton, MO; his in-laws, Laurence and Irene Truman of Archie, MO; his sister-in-law, Lorraine Budke and her husband Russell and their son Ian of Fenton, MO; his sister-in-law Angie Harger and her husband Gary of Higginsville, MO; best friends, Kenny and Liz Keaton of Corder, MO; as well as many special friends, neices, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral service were held Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville with cremation to follow the service.
