Katie Rios of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born January 2, 1996 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Manuel and Monica Y. (Flores) Rios. She departed this life Thursday, January 7, 2010 at her home at the age of 14 years and 5 days.
Katie was an 8th grade student at the Harrisonville Middle School, Harrisonville where she played the clarinet in the band. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville. Katie loved to ride her horse and had a very special Chihuahua named “Misty”. She was a very happy girl who loved spending time with her family, friends and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Delfina Beltran Ledesma.
Katie is survived by her parents, Manuel and Monica Rios; two brothers, Manuel David Rios and Gael Yahir Rios all of the home; his paternal grandfather, Manuel Rios Sr., Raytown, Missouri; maternal grandparents, David and Gloria Flores, Chihuahua, Mexico; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville, Missouri.
