Mrs. Agnes Maher Heimlich of Harrisonville, Missouri was born June 24, 1928 in Pierce City, Missouri the daughter of James Francis and Ellen (McAvoy) Maher. She departed this life on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at her home near Harrisonville at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 6 days.
On November 23, 1965 Agnes was united in marriage to Charles John Heimlich in Hollywood, California.
Agnes along with her husband, Charles owned and operated The Paint Shoppe in Fullerton, California until their retirement in 1988. She enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds and cross stitching. Agnes loved her family and will be remembered for being a very independent, energetic person. She had lived in Fullerton, California before moving to Harrisonville in 1988.
Besides her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Charles on August 4, 2007 and eight brothers and sisters.
Agnes is survived by a sister, Edna Maher Howard, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Mass was held Saturday, September 3, 2011 at the Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri.
