Albert Davis

Albert Gale Davis of Garden City, Missouri was born August 3, 1936 in Ava, Illinois the son of William C. and Esther (Smith) Davis. He departed this life on Sunday, October 7, 2007 surrounded by his family at his home in Garden City at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 4 days.
He was united in marriage on December 21, 1958 in Chester, Illinois.
Albert was employed as a mechanic for the John Deere Company in Kansas City, Missouri until his retirement on August 30, 1997. He was a member of the Dayton Community Church near Garden City and was an Air Force veteran. Albert enjoyed his family and grandchildren, fishing, traveling and the outdoors. He had lived in Kansas City, Missouri before moving to Garden City.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Kay Cumpton on December 14, 2005 and a brother, William C. Davis Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie R. Davis of the home; a son, David Davis, Greenville, Illinois; a daughter, Patty Sweet and husband, Blake, Harrisonville, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Jason, Joe, Jessica, Jennifer, Kelsey, Kayden, Carter, Kinzie and Karissa; two great-grandsons, Cody; a brother, Roy Davis, Mission, Texas; three sisters, Doris Wright and Sharon Johnson both of Holiday, Florida, Judy McAdoo, Jefferson City, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
