Alberta Ann Weaver

Mrs. Alberta Ann Weaver of Archie, Missouri was born October 8, 1917 in Lockwood, Missouri the daughter of Charlie and Dolly Florence (Turner) Armstrong. She departed this life on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville, Missouri at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 9 days.
On December 23, 1939, Ann was united in marriage to Frank Elwood Weaver in Butler, Missouri.
Ann was a cosmetologist and owner and operator of Ann's Archie Beauty Shop until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Archie. She had lived in rural Lockwood, Missouri and had lived in Harrisonville before moving to Archie in 1953. Ann was kind and considerate and enjoyed her family, gardening, flowers and being outside. She especially enjoyed being around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank on November 22, 1978; a brother, Charles and three sisters, Ida, Lucille and Faye.
She is survived by Janet and Lynn, Belton, Missouri and their children, J. Eric and Julie Neill, Kelley and Powell Carman, Cynthia and Michael Smith, Geoff and Melinda Ballew, Amy and Rob Kowal and by Jean A. Groll, Butler, Missouri and her daughters, Marni Fortner and Mindi Fortner; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Callaway, James, Carter, Josh, Zoe, Lillian and Parker; her sister, Naomi Gillman, Lamar, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at the United Methodist Church, Archie, Missouri with burial at the Crescent Hill Cemetery near Adrian.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the 4-H Foundation or to the United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
