Alma Dell Armstrong

Mrs. Alma Dell Armstrong of Harrisonville, Missouri was born October 10, 1924 in Harrisonville, Missouri the daughter of Andrew John and Roberta Dell (Wright) Fredrickson. She departed this life on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at St. Joseph Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 87 years and 6 months.
On February 12, 1950, Alma Dell was united in marriage to Leo Lawrence Armstrong in Harrisonville, Missouri. Alma Dell was a homemaker and earlier was employed as a bookkeeper for Armstrong Elevator in Harrisonville and a secretary for Folger’s Coffee in Kansas City. She was a member of Progressive Pricilla’s Club, the First Baptist Church, Harrisonville, where she served faithfully as church pianist for 50 years. Alma Dell had a great sense of humor and was always ready to laugh, was outgoing and enjoyed socializing. Alma Dell was a lifelong area resident and was a 1943 graduate of Harrisonville High School.
Besides her parents, Alma Dell was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence on April 18, 2008 and her sister, Helen C. Davenport.
Alma Dell is survived by her son, Larry Armstrong, Leavenworth, Kansas; a grandson, Lawrence Taylor Armstrong and a great-grandson, Leo; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral service were held Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with interment in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missorui.
