Mrs. Arla Lorene Randol of Harrisonville, Missouri was born June 17, 1916 near Latour, Missouri, the daughter of John David and Grace Cora (Elliott) Graves. She departed this life Friday, January 6, 2006 at Crown Care Center, Harrisonville at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 19 days.
On December 20, 1933, Arla was united in marriage to Ivan Randol.
Arla was a homemaker and along with her husband, Ivan, enjoyed working on the family farm. She became a member of the Dayton Baptist Church near Garden City at an early age. Arla attended rural schools at Mound Valley, Index and Dayton before finishing two years of high school at Garden City. She enjoyed the outdoors and was an animal lover especially to her dog, Mera. Arla had lived in Creighton, Garden City and Peculiar before moving to Harrisonville in 2004.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan on May 3, 1968; a son, Larry on December 1, 1989 and two brothers, Oscar and Everett Graves.
She is survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and a step-grandson; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral service were held Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Garden City Cemetery.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
