Barbara Lee Webber (Brown) , 80, of Harrisonville, MO went to be with Our Lord Saturday evening December 15, 2012 surrounded by family. She passed peacefully at home while in the arms of her devoted husband into the loving arms of Jesus.
Barbara was born February 14, 1932 in Adrian, MO and graduated from Pleasant Hill High School, Pleasant Hill, MO. Barbara, daughter of William L. and Ollie E. Brown (Nelson), was united in marriage to Robert C. Webber December 31, 1952. Together they raised four children while her husband served in the U.S. Coast Guard on the east coast until 1975 when he retired. Barbara was a homemaker, loving wife and mother. She enjoyed playing cards and was quite good at it; she was a lousy golfer but had a great time playing with friends. It was always more about spending the time with good friends. She cherished her time teaching children's bible school, never met a stranger and prayed every night for just about everybody by name.
Barbara was a member of the Eastern Star Ivy Leaf Chapter #215, American Contract Bridge League, Twin Pines Country Club and First Baptist Church, Harrisonville, MO.
Besides her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her brother, Denzil D. Brown and sister Billie Jo Ralston.
She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Webber; sons, William C. Webber of Harrisonville, MO, Robert F. Webber and wife Melba of Prairie Village, KS, Larry F. (Pepper) Webber and wife Tracy of Pleasant Hill, MO and daughter, Cristie G. Rex and husband John of Orlando, FL; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
