Bea Grosshart of Harrisonville, Missouri was born September 1, 1932 near Adrian, Missouri the daughter of Columbus Marion ?Ted? and Lucy Ethel (Rideniour) Snow. She departed this life Monday, March 2, 2009 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 76 years, 6 months and 1 day.
Bea attended Prairie City Elementary and graduated from Rockville, Missouri High School in 1951. After graduation, she was employed at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company until her marriage to Orva B. Grosshart Jr. To this union three sons were born, Sidney, Deral, and Quentin.
Bea was employed as a customer service specialist for the Missouri Public Service in the Adrian Office for 20 years until her retirement in 1993. She was a dedicated Christian and a big supporter of her sons? different school activities. Bea was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Cass Regional Medical Center Ladies Auxiliary both of Harrisonville and the Adrian, Missouri Lions Club. She enjoyed many hobbies including ceramics, crocheting, piecing quilts, cooking, and being with family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Maxine Issacson and Wilma Spruell.
She is survived by three sons, Sidney Grosshart and wife Traci, Haughton, Louisiana, Deral Grosshart and wife Patty, Archie, Missouri, Quentin Grosshart, Harrisonville, Missouri; eight grandchildren; two sisters, her twin, Berniece Bell, Nevada, Missouri and Irene Robinson, Blue Springs, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 5, 2009 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville with burial in the Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be left at the funeral home.
