Becky E. Stewart

Rebecca Edith ?Becky? Stewart of Creighton, Missouri was born November 3, 1922 in Jefferson City, Missouri the daughter of John and Nora (Finn) West. She departed this life on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 14 days.
On July 17, 1943, Becky was united in marriage to Jack Staley Stewart in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Becky was a homemaker. In the early 80?s Jack and Becky became part owners in the Harrisonville Harness Company in North Kansas City, Missouri. After Jack?s death, Becky continued her association with the company until her retirement. After retirement she helped her daughter?s at Dottie?s Café in Creighton until its closing. She was a member of the Creighton Christian Church, Creighton. Becky was a great giver of love and encouragement to family and friends. She always had a word of understanding and wisdom to give. Becky will be always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.
Besides her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Jack on November 8, 1983; five brothers and six sisters.
Becky is survived by her two daughters, Kitty Reynolds and husband, Henry, Brighton, Colorado, Dottie Stewart, Creighton, Missouri; three grandchildren, Todd Stewart, Creighton, Missouri, Henry Allen Reynolds II and wife, Kim, Thorton, Colorado, Addie Mefford, Kansas City, Missouri; four great-grandchildren; Julia and Dustin Reynolds, David Stewart, Annika Withron; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri. Burial is at the Dayton Cemetery near Garden City, Missouri.
Family suggest memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
