Betty Burton

Betty Jo Burton, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born February 4, 1954 in Harrisonville, Missouri the daughter of Jimmie L. Burton and Peggy (Wagner) Burton. She departed this life on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the home of her daughter in Harrisonville surrounded by love and family at the age of 62 years, 5 months and 6 days.
Betty was employed as a cook at Pizza Hut in Harrisonville until her retirement. She was a 1972 graduate of the Pleasant Hill High School. Betty enjoyed crocheting and going to the boats collecting Elvis memorabilia and owls. Her greatest love was being a Nana and spending time with her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by three daughters, Andrea Harris and husband Jeff, Drexel, Missouri, Kim Mastin and husband Sawyer, Harrisonville, Missouri and Toni Downey, Camdenton, Missouri; grandchildren, Tristen, Breana, Paige, Adam, Collin, Madison, Brody, Kenzie, Evie and Ella; great-grandchildren, Canden, Skylar and Delilah; her mother, Peggy Burton; her father, Jimmie Burton and wife Carol all of Harrisonville, Missouri; her brother, Jimmie D. Burton, Butler, Missouri; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
Family received friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the funeral home.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Serenity Care Hospice, Harrisonville.
