Betty Helen Sallee, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born September 9, 1930 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma the daughter of Elbert Joshua and Sara Cathrine (Anders) Taylor. She departed this life Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at her home in Harrisonville at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 21 days.
On September 15, 1962, Betty was united in marriage to Ronald Dean Sallee in Peculiar, Missouri.
Betty was employed as an electronics assembler for Allied Signal, Kansas City, Missouri until her retirement in 1970. She was a Christian was baptized many years ago. Betty was a member of the VFW Post #4409 Ladies Auxiliary for 25 years. She loved crocheting, knitting and fishing with her husband. Betty will be remembered as a great wife, mother and grandmother whose favorite color was red as well as being a good cook.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary Crownover; a brother, Tony Taylor and a sister, Bonnie Taylor.
Betty is survived by her husband, Ronald D. Sallee of the home; seven children; two step-children; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother; a half-brother; a sister and a half-sister; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
