Betty Lou Gough of Harrisonville, Missouri was born August 23, 1931 in Freeman, Missouri the daughter of Earl Henry and Ollie Elizabeth (Adkins) Lash. She departed this life on Monday, February 2, 2015 at her home in Harrisonville at the age 83 years, 5 months and 9 days.
On September 29, 1947, Betty was united in marriage to Billy Edward Gough in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Betty was employed as a tax examiner for the Internal Revenue Service at the Bannister Service Center, Kansas City, Missouri until her retirement on August 23, 1991. She was a member of the Red Hat ladies social group. Betty enjoyed her family, taking care of her yard, reading, watching football and sewing. She made her granddaughter a beautiful wedding dress. She had lived in Garden City, Harrisonville and Malta Bend, Missouri before moving back to Harrisonville in 1960.
Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Bill on February 13, 2007; two sisters, Lola and Carolyn.
Betty is survived by a son, Ron Gough, 2 daughters, Vicki L. Todd and Valda K. Schoonover all of Harrisonville, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Andrea, Mark, Jim, Dan, Joe, Eli and Leah; twelve great-grandchildren; three brothers, Earl Lash (Barbara), Harrisonville, Missouri, Louis Lash, Harrisonville, Missouri, Gene Lash (Ali), Raymore, Missouri; one sister, Earlene Troby, Harrisonville, Missouri other relatives and a host of friends.
Cremation. No services scheduled.
