Mrs. Beverly Lee Taber of Garden City, Missouri was born March 3, 1939 in Mountain View, Missouri the daughter of Eugene and Phillipine Elizabeth (Waltz) Howe. She departed this life on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 7 days.
On December 15, 1956, Beverly was united in marriage to John Marion Taber in Mountain View, Missouri.
Beverly was employed as an office manager for 20 years at the Cass County Health Department, Harrisonville, Missouri until her retirement on March 31, 2003. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren and camping in their 5th wheel trailer. Beverly had lived in Rich Hill, Missouri before moving to Garden City in August of 1983.
Besides her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Thomson and Peggy Atnip.
She is survived by her husband, John M. Taber of the home; four sons, Bill Taber and wife, Marlyce, Harrisonville, Missouri, Mike Taber and wife, Teresa, Garden City, Missouri, Brian Taber and wife, Judy, Ankeny, Iowa, Stan Taber and wife, Clara, Creighton, Missouri; twelve grandchildren, Jared, Amanda and husband, John, Chris, Matt, Jon, Kara, Rebecca, Austin, Jessica, Wesley, Adam and Lori; two great-grandchildren, Camryn and Cole; two brothers, Bob Howe, Chillicothe, Missouri, Tom Howe, Hamilton, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 13, 2008 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, Missouri.
