illie Jean Fleener, 47, of Pleasant Hill, was born, November 5, 1968, in Kansas City, the daughter of William Fleener and Martha (Land) Combs. She departed this life Friday, March 4, 2016, at the Lee’s Summit Medical Center surrounded with love and family. She was a 1987 Pleasant Hill High School graduate.
Billie was a homemaker. She enjoyed crafting as a hobby. Her true happiness was derived from spending time with her family. She was kind, caring, and selfless always putting family and all others before herself. She would want everyone to carry on her memory by being kind to one another.
Billie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Betty Land, one grandson, Steven Landau, and long time family friend, Troy Dinges.
She is survived by her parents, William Fleener of Pleasant Hill and Martha Combs of Harrisonville; fiancé, Brian Edwards of the home; two children, James McManus of the home and Brittany McManus of Blue Springs; three step children, Matthew Landau, Kalvin Edwards, and Bryanna Sokolowski, all of Indianapolis, Indiana; 6 grandchildren, Bentleigh Skibicki, Sophia Landau, Joshua Landau, Isaac Sokolowski, Savannah Sokolowski, C.J. York, and Anna Bella Schmidt; siblings, Jared Combs, Darren Combs, Melinda Stodgell, Bill Fleener, Larry Andres, Crystal Fleener, Angela Lees and Rhonda Jackson; and many more loved ones and family members. Cremation has been accorded.
A memorial service was held Saturday at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home. The family asks that you dress casually and wear pink in her memory as Billie was a breast cancer survivor.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
