Carol A. Bunnell

Carol Ann Bunnell, 87, of Gladstone, Missouri, was born, May 25, 1934, on her family farm in Cass County, Iowa, near Brayton, the daughter of Maxwell Skyler and Marie Ellen (Acheson) Walker. She departed this life, Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at her home surrounded with love and family.
Carol was a 1952 Wiota Consolidated. While attending college at Northwest Missouri State she met and fell in love with Leonard Melton Bunnell. They were united in marriage On July 3, 1955; he preceded her in death on June 18, 2014.
Carol was a Sales Rep for Regal Plastics Company of Kansas City for over thirty years while also working as a Tax Advisor with H & R. Block for thirty-five years. She was a member of the St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Kansas City North. She enjoyed reading, playing bingo, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Carol was also preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, William James Walker and Maxwell Joseph Walker.
She is survived by four sons, Steven (and Catherine) Bunnell of Gladstone, Timothy (and Tina) Bunnell of Prague, Oklahoma, Patrick (and Patti) Bunnell of Soap Lake, Washington, and James (and Mary) Bunnell of Platte City; one daughter, Rebecca (and Tom) Brown of Liberty; 19 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; one sister, Connie Wiegand of Marshalltown, Iowa; other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Reverend Jo Sharbel will officiate. Casket bearers are Thomas Brown, Chase Brown, Mitchell Bunnell, Trevor Bunnell, Kourtney Gutierrez, Chris Hood, and Jake Johanson. Honorary casket bearers are Duane Bunnell and Kurtis Bunnell.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Catholic Charities of the Kansas City-St. Joseph Archdiocese and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
