Carolyn S. Maher

Mrs. Carolyn Sue Maher of Harrisonville, Missouri was born July 25, 1938 in Marceline, Missouri the daughter of Leroy Samuel and Corynne Blanche (Mason) Magee. She departed this life on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville at the age of 70 years, 4 months and 19 days.
On February 27, 1960, Carolyn was united in marriage to John Patrick Maher in Harrisonville.
Carolyn was employed as a machine operator for Mission Plastics in Grandview, Missouri until her retirement in 2000. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville. Carolyn enjoyed square dancing, her garden, the outdoors and going to Curves. She had lived in Belton before moving to Harrisonville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John on September 18, 1962; a great-grandson, Colton Mathia and her brother, Terry Hughes.
She is survived by a son, John C. Maher and wife, Milka, State of California; two daughters, Elisa L. Swetnam, Clinton, Missouri, Theresa L. Maher, Belton, Missouri; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis Magee, State of California, Gary Hughes, Belton, Missouri; other relatives and many friends. at Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville.
Funeral Mass was held Thursday, December 18, 2008 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Graveside service were held Thursday, December 18, 2008 at the Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
