Chad Thomas Rees, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born October 26, 1936 in Bates County, Missouri the son of Emerald Thomas and Ruby Pearl (Sullivan) Rees. He departed this life Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the Adrian Manor Nursing Home, Adrian, Missouri at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 10 days.
Chad was employed as an accountant for Mike Beatty in Blue Springs, Missouri until his retirement in 2006. He loved horses, watching western movies, listening to old country music and bluegrass and fishing.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Stevie and Kyle Zeiler; a brother, Lee Rees; a sister, Sharon Scifers and a niece, Kelly Austin.
Chad is survived by his former wife, Shirley Webb, Harrisonville, Missouri; a son, Chad Rees Jr, Larned, Kansas; two daughters, Cindy Kane, Harrisonville, Missouri, Diane Zeiler and husband Steven, Raymore, Missouri; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 5 nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. Cremation.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the funeral home.
