Charles Edward “Chuck” Hochhalter of East Lynne, Missouri was born July 10, 1964 in Jamestown, North Dakota the son of Lawrence Herbert and Correan Ida (Swanson) Hochhalter. He departed this life on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 47 years, 3 months and 5 days.
On December 9, 1989 Chuck was united in marriage to Lisa Lynn Slusher in Canyon Country, California.
Chuck was employed as a mechanic for Swift Transportation, Harrisonville, Missouri. He was a loving husband, father, devoted papa and friend. Chuck was a huge NASCAR fan, enjoyed mud running, racing modified cars and riding his motorcycle. He was the “go to man” to fix anything and everything in his family. Chuck was a former volunteer fireman for the East Lynne and Gunn City Fire Districts. His early years were spent in Ventura and Canyon Country, California before moving to East Lynne in 1994.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Lisa L. Hochhalter of the home; three sons, Thomas Hochhalter and wife, Marissa, Kansas City, Missouri, Curtis Hochhalter and wife, Tiffany, Willis, Texas, Zackery Hochhalter of the home; three grandchildren, Tristan, CJ and Brylee; his parents, Lawrence and Correan Hochhalter, Coffeyville, Kansas; a brother, Larry Hochhalter, Coffeyville, Kansas; six sisters, Dawn Lannom, Ventura, California, Beverly Hattaway and Cynthia Ammerman both of Coffeyville, Kansas, Theresa Hochhalter, Denver, Colorado, Debbie Balding, Watertown, Tennessee, Penny Hochhalter, East Lynne, Missouri; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Cremation.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Charels E. Hochhalter Memorial Fund.
