Charles Jean Ash Sr. of Adrian, Missouri was born March 28, 1937 in Pittsburg, Kansas the son of William Robert and Theresa Emile (Wisecarver) Ash. He departed this life on Friday, March 20, 2009 surrounded by his family at his home near Adrian at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 22 days.
In 1955, Charles was united in marriage to Erma McBride in Pittsburg, Kansas.
Charles owned and operated Ash Dental Laboratory in Garden City, Missouri until the 1980?s. He enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren, road trips and fishing. Charles had lived in Kansas City before moving to Garden City in 1964 and to Adrian in 2000.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charles Jean Ash Jr. on October 7, 2002.
He is survived by two sons, Bill R. Ash, Sedalia, Missouri, Duke Ash, Jacksonville, Florida; a daughter, Theresa Ryan, Woodward, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a longtime friend, Kay Jones, Adrian, Missouri; a brother, William R. Ash, Yakima, Washington; two sisters, Delories Weaver, Topeka, Kansas, Patricia Franks, Independence, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services were held Monday, March 23, 2009 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri. Cremation with inurnment at the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
