Charlie T. Moretine

Charlie Thomas Moretine of Garden City, Missouri was born June 26, 1954 in Clinton, Missouri the son of Charles Wilbur and Rose Lavina (Cumpton) Moretine. He departed this life on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at his home at the age of 61 years and 5 months.

Charlie owned and operated Charlie Moretine Custom Bulldozing, Garden City, Missouri. He was a member of the Dayton Community Church and a 1972 graduate of Archie High School. Charlie enjoyed fishing with his granddaughters, riding the gator, attending tractor pulls with his sons and most of all being with his family and friends. He was a lifelong resident of the Dayton Community.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Charlie is survived by his three sons, Chris Moretine (Missy McCoy) of Garden City, Missouri, Cory Moretine (Brandy) of Adrian, Missouri, and Anthony Moretine of East Lynne, Missouri; four granddaughters, Brenna, Mya, Kinsley, Alexandria; two sisters, Rhonda Hendrickson (Stewart) of Garden City, Missouri, and Delberta Hicks (Cleve) of Garden City, Missouri; his former wife and best friend, Barbara Norris, East Lynne, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at The Farm, 28706 Mo 7, Garden City, Missouri. Burial is in the Dayton Cemetery.

The family received friends Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at The Farm.

The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Final arrangements entrusted to Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
