Casinda Sue “Cindy” Kremeier, 67, of Pleasant Hill, was born, July 2, 1948, in Nevada, Missouri, the daughter of Roy W. and Doris V. (Dennison) Moberg. She departed this life, Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at her home surrounded with love and family.
Cindy was a 1966 Shawnee Mission West High School graduate. She furthered her education earning a Bachelor’s degree from Pittsburgh State University and her Master’s degree from the University of Denver.
Cindy had been employed as a Certified Compensation Professional for U.S. West Communications in Denver. Returning to Missouri, she worked in Human Resources for Unity Village. She was also a substitute teacher and tutor for the Pleasant Hill School district. Cindy also raised Alpaca’s and was a member of both the Missouri and American Alpaca Associations. She was an avid animal lover and had numerous animals on her small farm. She was active with animal rescue providing homes for animals in need of care until a home could be found for them.
Her parents, and one nephew, Bobby Moberg, preceded Cindy in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Heidi Kremeier of Ouray, Colorado; step-mother, Juanita Moberg of North Little Rock, Arkansas; two brothers, Kenneth (and Sarah) Moberg of Lindsborg, Kansas, and Randal (and Barbara) Moberg of Pleasant Hill; one step-sister, Kathy Loy of North Little Rock; five nephews, Josh Jones, Jeremy Moberg., Christopher Moberg, Steven Moberg, and Seth Loy; three nieces, Emily Jones, Erin Zimmerman, and Lisa Powers; other relatives; and a host of many friends.
Cindy requested cremation which has been honored.
Celebration of Life services were held Saturday, April 16, 2016, at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
In honor of Cindy’s love and compassion for animals, memorial contributions are suggested to Wayside Waifs and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
