Connie Beatrice Pulliam of Higginsville, Missouri was born August 1, 1950 in Salem, Arkansas the daughter of William Creston Talburt and Esther Pearl (Barnett) Talburt Howerton. She departed this life on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at her home surrounded by love at the age of 62 years, 2 months and 6 days.
On September 11, 1970 Connie was united in marriage to Johnnie Allen Pulliam in Creighton, Missouri.
Connie was a homemaker. She had earlier been employed by the Johnson County, Kansas School District, as a receptionist for the Cass County Memorial Hospital, Harrisonville, Missouri and held many jobs working as a temp. Connie was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church, Higginsville, Missouri. She enjoyed the outdoors, her flowers and reading her Bible. Connie was a 1968 graduate of Sherwood High School, Creighton, Missouri. Connie will be remembered for her kindness, her loving caring nature and always being there for her daughter, Amanda. She has lived in Creighton, Missouri, Chandler, Arizona, Warrensburg, Pleasant Hill and Garden City, Missouri and Olathe, Kansas before moving to Higginsville in 1996.
Besides her father, Connie was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda on November 28, 2007; her step-father, Billy Howerton.
Connie is survived by her husband, John A. Pulliam of the home; her mother, Esther Howerton, Weaubleau, Missouri; two brothers, Ron Talburt, Springfield, Missouri, Larry Talburt, Weaubleau, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri. Interment in Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Lafayette Cancer Society.
