Corey Lee Turner of Harrisonville, Missouri was born January 3, 2002 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Jeffrey Dean and Kimberly Ann (Hicks) Turner. He departed this life on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville, Missouri at the age of 14 years, 7 months and 20 days.
Corey was a 9th. grade student at Harrisonville High School and had been enrolled in the Harrisonville District since kindergarten. He had played football and soccer for several years in the Harrisonville Youth Leagues. Corey enjoyed working with his hands. Corey enjoyed anything mechanical or automotive. He was avid about the outdoors enjoying hunting and fishing along with camping. His attire always included a John Deere logo and a Chevy emblem. Corey was a lifelong Harrisonville resident.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bobby and Barbara Turner; his maternal grandmother, Jo Rita Hicks.
Corey is survived by his parents, Jeffrey D. and Kimberly Turner and his brother, Ryan Turner; his maternal grandfather, Billy J. Hicks, Kansas City, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Harrisonville High School Gym, 1504 E. Elm, Harrisonville, Missouri.
The family received friends Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Harrisonville High School Gym.
Services are under the care of Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
