Darrel O. Turner

Darrel Otis Turner of Raytown, Missouri was born December 16, 1931 in Vale, Oregon the son of Albert and Dorthea (McLay) Turner. He went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Autumn Terrace Health and Rehabilitation, Raytown, Missouri at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 20 days.
On May 29, 1967, Darrel was united in marriage to Dorothy Rossiter.
Darrel was employed in the maintenance department for the Nazarene Headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri until his retirement. He enjoyed his family, carpenter work, woodworking and doing jigsaw puzzles. He was a member of the Nazarene Church, Harrisonville, Missouri. Darrel had lived in Pleasant Hill, Missouri before moving to Raytown, Missouri.
Besides his parents, Darrel was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, his daughter, Lucy Turner, granddaughter Jennifer, step-daughter Paula, and step-son Lloyd.
Darrel is survived by three daughters, Deborah Turner-Lujan, Kansas City, Missouri, Nancy Shore, Blue Springs, Missouri, Amy Cole, Ewa Beach, Hawaii; 5 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a step-son, Lester Rossiter, Belton, Missouri; a step-daughter, Janie Brown, Blue Springs, Missouri; two brothers, Howard Turner and Bill Loundsberry both of Kennewick, Washington; many relatives and a host of friends. Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service was held Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the Harrisonville Church of the Nazarene, 2305 E. South Street, Harrisonville, Missouri with inurnment in the Belton Cemetery, Belton, Missouri.
