Daryl Wayne Bourland, Harrisonville, Missouri was born January 6, 1954 in California, Missouri the son of Edward Leslie and Hazel Grace (Althoff) Bourland. He left this world on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at the Louisburg Healthcare and Rehab Center, Louisburg, Kansas at the age of 61 years, 11 months and 18 days.

On March 1, 1974, Daryl was united in marriage to Deborah Kay Moore in Harrisonville, Missouri. To this union God blessed them with two children, a son, Jeremy who was born in 1977 and then in 1985, they had the opportunity to adopt their daughter, Carrie. Now there family was complete.

Daryl as a young boy was involved in the Boy Scouts. He worked odd jobs growing up until 1972, when he went to work for the General Motors Leed's Plant in Kansas City, Missouri and worked there for 17 years and also worked part time for extra money as an electrician in the evening. In 1988, General Motors closed down and he went to work for Amtech, a sheet metal company, in Kansas City. In 1992, he went to work for Metcraft in Grandview, Missouri and worked there for 10 years until they closed their doors. He was then employed at T&M Electric as an electrician until he became ill in 2005 and then retired on disability. Daryl was known as a jokester and liked to hunt, fish, listen to country music and drink his beer. He was a 33rd degree Mason with the Cass Masonic Lodge #147 A.F. & A.M., Harrisonville, Missouri.

Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Daryl Bourland Jr.; a sister, Kathy Dean and a brother Jim Bourland.

Daryl is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debbie Bourland of the home; a son, Jeremy Bourland and fianc Sherry Osborn, Harrisonville, Missouri; a daughter, Carrie Grannan and husband Patrick, Blue Springs, Missouri; 8 grandchildren he loved dearly; his father, Edward Bourland, Stover, Missouri; a sister, Charlotte Wright, Raytown, Missouri; his beloved dog, Demon; other relatives and friends.

He will be greatly missed. We love you. Rest in peace and spread your angel wings and fly!

The family received friends Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with a Masonic Service at 2:00 p.m.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.
