David Lee Litchfield of Harrisonville, Missouri was born March 18, 1945 in Norfolk, Virginia the son of Hoarce Linwood and Pearl (Jones) Litchfield. He departed this life Saturday, May 20, 2006 at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 61years, 2 months and 2 days.
On, September 23, 1967 David was united in marriage to Freda Marie Norman in Freeman, Missouri.
David was employed as an assembler for Ford Motor Company, Claycomo Plant, Claycomo, Missouri until his retirement on July 1, 2001. He was a member of the UAW Local 249, Claycomo. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. David was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed his grandchildren, gardening and coaching Little League Baseball. David had lived in Kansas City before moving to Harrisonville in 1967.
Besides his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Freda on November 30, 2002.
He is survived by three sons, Gary G. Litchfield and wife, Sheri, Harrisonville, Missouri, Leslie L. Litchfield, Fort Scott, Kansas, Ronald L. Litchfield, wife, Stacy, Parkville, Missouri; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Andrew, Lance, Brandon, Maya and Ella; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at the Dickey Funeral Home, 2401 E. Mechanic Street, Harrisonville, Missouri with interment in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
Family suggests contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House.
