Mrs. Deborah “Debbie” Faye Grant, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born March 10, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Earl and Lorna Mae (Self) Cobb. She departed this life Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas at the age of 61 years, 5 months and 15 days.
On November 25, 1972, Debbie was united in marriage to Mark Eugene Grant in Raytown, Missouri.
Debbie was the City Clerk for Harrisonville for 7 years and earlier had been the Deputy City Clerk for Raytown, Missouri for 15+ years. She attended Warsaw, Missouri Grade School, was a 1968 graduate of Raytown High School and a 1972 graduate of CMSU, Warrensburg with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Debbie enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandson. She had lived in Warsaw, Kansas City and Raytown before moving to Harrisonville in 2005.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Jacob Cobb.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Mark E. Grant of the home; a son, Scott E. Grant and wife Mindy, Pleasant Hill, Missouri; a grandson, Corbin; Morgan, who was treated like a granddaughter; a brother, Steve Cobb and wife Leann, Pleasant Hill, Missouri; 4 nephews, Adam Cobb, Jeremy Hair, Greg Schenkel and Danny Grant; two nieces, Trisha Sweeney and Ann Grant; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 30, 2011 the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at the Weaver Cemetery, Warsaw, Missouri.
