Delmar Cecil Ayler of Harrisonville, Missouri was born May 10, 1931 near Kingsville, Missouri the son of John Henry and Lola May (Clapper) Ayler Sr. He departed this life on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 85 years, 1 month and 20 days. Delmar was employed as a production control coordinator for Honeywell, Kansas City, Missouri until his retirement in April of 1992. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed raising cattle, attending sporting events, the outdoors, hunting and fishing, his garden and going to the sale barns. Delmar was a strong supporter of his children and grandchildren, was an avid Royals and Chiefs fan. He was a lifelong area resident.
Delmar was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Beverly Copeland and twin sons, Gary and Larry Ayler.
He is survived by two sons, Chester Ayler and Ronnie Ayler both of Harrisonville, Missouri; four daughters, Debbie Ayler, Independence, Missouri, Janet Henderson, Harrisonville, Missouri, Carol Bandy (Don) Creighton, Missouri, Cheryl Cowan (David) Garden City, Missouri; 12 grandchldren; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Ayler Jr. and Richard Ayler both of Garden City, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouriwith burial in the Elm Springs Cemetery, Kingsville, Missouri.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
