Diane Elaine Pettis

Diane Elaine Pettis of Harrisonville, Missouri was born June 22, 1961 in Smithville, Missouri the daughter of James Arthur Lee and Dorothea Elaine Ashton Kern. She departed this life on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri surrounded by love and family at the age of 54 years, 5 months and 26 days.
On September 21, 2004 Diane was united in marriage to Wayne Edward Pettis in Peculiar, Missouri and had spent the last 24 years together.
Diane was a homemaker and a mother to all. She enjoyed being with her famiy, going to the movies and casino's. Diane was a graduate of Drexel, Missouri High School and had lived in Drexel and Peculiar, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville in 2005.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothea.
Diane is survived by her husband, Wayne E. Pettis of the home; two sons, Casey Morris, Harrisonville, Missouri, Joshua Lockhart and wife, Amanda, Lee's Summit, Missouri; two step-daughters, Cassy Wilson, Whiteman Air Force Base, Knob Noster, Missouri, Peggy Cannon, Peculiar, Missouri; three grandchildren, Johnny, Bayliegh, Brenden; her father, James Lee, Fontana, Kansas; her step-father, John Kern, Drexel, Missouri; a sister, Carolyn Keesee, Pittsburg, Missouri; two brothers, Larry Lee, Rogers, Arkansas, Sam Lee, Kidder, Missouri; a half-brother; a half-sister; ten step-brothers and sisters; other relatives and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life Service was held Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
