Donald R. 'Donnie' Lunsford

June 22, 1961 — February 20, 2016

Donald Ray Lunsford of Freeman, Missouri was born June 22, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Raymond Richard Lunsford and Mary Elizabeth (Scott) Pierce. He departed this life on Saturday, February 20, 2016 as a result of a motorcycle accident near Harrisonville, Missouri at the age of 54 years, 7 months and 29 days.
Donnie was a salesman for Pro Build in Lee's Summit, Missouri. He was a Navy veteran and a proud member of the Patriot Guard and Commanders Club. Donnie enjoyed being with his family and friends, riding his motorcycle, the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He was a lifelong area resident and a 1979 graduate of Harrisonville High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Donnie is survived by his two daughters, Rachelle Migues, Independence, Missouri, Crystall Lunsford, Grove, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Dakota, Haleigh and Kyla; four brothers, James Cox, Lowry City, Missouri, Gerald Cox, Clinton, Missouri, Scotty Cox, Lake Winnebago, Missouri, Bob Maupin, Sugar Creek, Missouri; his fiancé, Libby Fuller of the home; other relatives and a host of friends.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Visitation was on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri. Military honors will given by the Harrisonville Honor Guard and the United States Navy Honors Team.
Immediately following the Military Service the family and friends will honor Donnie with one last ride. Please join us in the procession to Harold's Smokehouse, 27500 MO-2, Freeman, Missouri.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or the Patriot Guard.
