Mrs. Donna Mae Thurston of Urich, Missouri was born November 27, 1938 in Clinton, Missouri the daughter of Harry and Kathryn (Carlton) Bailey. She departed this life on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 17 days.
On December 11, 1957, Donna was united in marriage to J.B. Thurston in Clinton, Missouri.
Donna was a faithful bus driver for 38 years for Sherwood Cass R-8 School District. She was a member of the Urich Christian Church. Donna had lived in Clinton before moving to Urich in 1957.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. on September 3, 2003; 2 brothers and a sister.
She is survived by a son, Terry Thurston, Clinton, Missouri; two daughters, Kathy Dulaban and husband, Derrell, Clinton, Missouri, Mindy Nash and husband, Matt, Latour, Missouri; three granddaughters, Sarah and Carissa Dulaban and Bailey Nash; a sister, Kathryn Smith, Warrensburg, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Urich Cemetery, Urich, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
