Doris Anne Jensen

Doris Jensen of Dayton, Missouri was born to David Franklin and Louise Wilson Goacher in Hughes Arkansas on June 14th 1946. Her journey on this earth ended at the age of 67 on August 7, 2013 after battling ovarian cancer for 7 long years.
Doris grew up in Hughes Ark. and she was baptized in 1956 at First Baptist church in Hughes. In 1965 she graduated from Hughes High School and a few years later moved to Missouri. In 1972 she married Eldon E Jensen in which she also gained 2 wonderful daughters Dana and Diana. Born to this union was 2 more children Eldon II and Katherine. Eldon and Doris moved to Dayton Missouri where they have resided for the last 35 years. Doris worked at Cass Medical Center in Harrisonville for more than 17 years as a certified nursing assistant. She grew to love the people of Harrisonville and her co-workers as well as the people of Dayton and Garden City. She was a member of Dayton Community Church for over 35 years. She loved her church and worked with the youth. Doris is preceded in death by parents; Sister-Helen Coffey; Brothers-Sandford Goacher and Cecil Goacher; Sisters-in-law-Dorthy Goacher, Patsy Goacher, and Jeanette Goacher; niece Shelly Goacher; and Nephew Carl Goacher.
Surviving is husband Eldon Jensen of 41 years of Dayton Mo, Children- Eldon Jensen II (Amy) of Omaha, NE, Katherine Nelson (Klee) of Lee's Summit MO, Dana Wilson of Independence, MO, and Diana Hite (Herb) of Lee's Summit MO. And 14 beautiful grandchildren-her pride and joy- Danielle Collins (Jesse), Christopher Wilson, Meghan Wilson, Ashley Gehring, Zachary Gehring, Grant Newhard, Matthew Nelson, Kaleb Nelson, Nathanael Nelson, Benjamin Nelson, Gabriel Jensen, Alexander Jensen, and Samuel Jensen;Brothers-Louis Goacher (Annie) of Bradford AR, Billy Goacher (Carey) of Hughes AR, David Goacher of West Memphis AR, and Sister- Frances Creekmore (Delbert) of West Memphis AR, and Sister in Law- Shirley Goacher of Wynne AR.
Family suggests contributions may be made to Miss Doris's little angels.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the Dayton Community Church, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Dayton Cemetery near Garden City, Missouri.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
