Doris Mae Ring of Harrisonville, Missouri was born October 7, 1927 in Roswell, Idaho the daughter of George H. Brown and Margaret (Seiber) Brown. She departed this life on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Golden Years Care Center in Harrisonville, Missouri surrounded by love and family at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 28 days.
On May 14, 1946 Doris was united in marriage to Lloyd Joseph Ring in Walla Walla, Washington.
Doris was a homemaker and earlier was employed at Stecks IGA in the deli department in Cody, Wyoming. She also sold Tupperware. She attended Crossroads Assembly of God Church, Harrisonville, Missouri. Doris enjoyed needle point, crocheting, cooking, reading the bible and going to church. She loved her family and friends, and was always forgiving with unconditional love. Doris lived in Idaho and Cody, Wyoming before moving to Harrisonville, Missouri in 2001.
Besides her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd on September 11, 2007; four brothers, Elmo, John, Ray, and Richard; four sisters Tabitha, Blanch, Mary, and Eunice.
Doris is survived by three sons, Lavon Ring and wife, Sandra, Casa Grande, Arizona, Gerald L. Ring and companion, Charlotte, Garden City, Missouri, Michael J. Ring and wife, Sherry, Harrisonville, Missouri; a daughter, Helen Frost and husband ,Lyle, Nampa, Idaho; 14 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 28 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
Graveside services were held Saturday, April 12, 2014 in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
The family received friends Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.
