Dorothy Kiefer

November 6, 1922 — May 29, 2009

Dorothy H. Kiefer, beloved wife of Marvin Kiefer, passed into the arms of our Lord on May 29, 2009. Born in Carroll County, MO on November 6, 1922, to Orville and Maude Houseworth, Dorothy graduated from Bosworth, MO High School.
Dorothy and Marvin married June 16, 1974 and resided for 25 years in Harrisonville, MO. In 1999, they moved to Sun City, AZ where she volunteered at Boswell Hospital for over six years. Golf, swimming, water aerobics, knitting, playing the organ, traveling and family events were just part of her active life.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Marvin, three children ? Bob King, Ann Stubenrauch, Donna King-Baza, three sisters, seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Dorothy always set an example for her family to live life to its fullest. Family and friends were her life, especially with her beloved husband, Marvin. She will be missed much by family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Sun City, 11019 W. Peoria Avenue, Sun City, AZ 85351 or Hospice of Arizona-Plaza del Rio IPU, American Hospice Foundation, 2120 L St.,NW #200, Washington, DC 20037.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 8, 2009 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Urich Cemetery, Urich, Missouri.
