Duane Ayers, of Adrian, Missouri was born September 22, 1927 in Newton, Kansas the son of Joseph and Wilna (Williams) Ayers. He departed this life on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at his home at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 30 days.
On May 12, 1950, Duane was united in marriage to Nita June Welborn in Kansas City, Missouri.
Duane was employed as a Body Shop Manager for Barr Motor Company for 20 years. He loved hunting and fishing, his cattle and had names for most of them and on most days, he loved his children and grandchildren very much.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, June Ayers on December 17, 2002 and an infant brother, J.F. Ayers.
Duane is survived by a son, John Duane Ayers and a daughter, Sherry Warren both of Adrian, Missouri; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Hazel Stratton, Cameron, Missouri, Roberta Jacobs, Armington, Illinois, Virginia Buck and husband F.V., Bartlett, Tennessee and Ruth Haig and husband Col. Douglas W., Emporia, Kansas; other relatives and friends.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Cass County Cremation Service, Harrisonville, Missouri.
