Eleen B. McCulloh

September 22, 1926 — June 29, 2017

Eleen B. (Gross) McCulloh of Garden City, MO was born September 22, 1926 in Garden City, the daughter of James and Bessie Gross. She departed this life Thursday, June 29, 2017 at her home at the age of 90 years, 9 months, and 7 days.
On May 6, 1945, Eleen was united in marriage to Joe G. McCulloh in Paris, Texas.
Eleen was a devoted wife and homemaker. She supported Joe in his business, McCulloh Builders, and owned her own business, The ElJo Gift and Flower Shoppe in Garden City. She also kept up with old friends and found many new ones in her travels as an Avon representative.
Eleen was the pianist and Sunday school teacher at the Dayton Community Church for many years. She took pleasure in singing, and contributed her strong alto voice to the community Easter Cantatas. She currently attended New Covenant Fellowship where she enjoyed assisting with Children’s Church.
Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a source of great joy in Eleen's life. She felt blessed to have all of them living close and attended nearly every event or program they participated in. She was never too busy to babysit, and it was common for the grandkids to invite themselves over to Grandpa and Grandma’s for a sleepover.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Joe, on October 9, 1953; her husband, Joe, on October 12, 1999; brothers, Lyle and Everett; sister, Eula; and her beloved twin brother, Elven.
