Evelyn J. Beavers

Evelyn Jane Beavers, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born October 20, 1923 in Tallapoosa, Missouri the daughter of Luther Freeman and Ruth Magdalene (Powers) Hogg. She departed this life Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the Benchmark Healthcare of Harrisonville at the age of 87 years, 11 months and 18 days.
Evelyn owned and operated California Water Beds in Harrisonville until her retirement in 1987. She loved spending time with her family and traveling. Evelyn had lived in St. Louis, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Frances M. Hogg, Katherine Howell, Maude Wright, Alma Smith and Luther F. Hogg.
Evelyn is survived by three children, Bronda F. Haynes and husband John M., Bella Vista, Arkansas, Glenda R. Edmister, Prairie Village, Kansas, Jonathan C. Beavers and wife Joann, Caseyville, Illinois; four granddaughters, Anna Lisa Huxtable and husband James, Jennifer L. Williams and husband Dwight, Kelly A. Edmister and Brandyn Beavers; four great-grandchildren, Ethan and Annabel Huxtable and Evey and Georgia Williams; nieces, nephews and friends.
A Graveside service will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
Family will receive friends from 11:30-12:20 p.m. at the Mt. Hope Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, St. Louis.
