Franklin "Frank" Delano Chambers, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born April 14, 1951 in Bruner, Missouri the son of Theodore Roosevelt and Dixie Merritt (Siler) Chambers. He departed this life on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at his home surrounded by love and family at the age of 65 years, 9 months and 17 days.
On July 7, 2010, Frank was united in marriage to Deborah Sue Burke in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Frank was a Sergeant with the Missouri Highway Patrol serving 27 years until his retirement on April 1, 2011 from Troop A in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Before that, he was a Kansas City Police officer for 7 years. Frank was passionate about and loved the work that he did in law enforcement. He attended the Eagle Creek Church in Harrisonville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Frank is survived by his wife, Deborah Chambers of the home; a son, Chris Chambers and wife Cara of North Carolina; a step-son, Travis Mickelberry and wife Michelle; a daughter, Angela Yates and husband Tony and a step-daughter, Megan Rudell and husband Clint all of Harrisonville, Missouri; 4 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; three brothers, Joe Chambers, Smithville, Missouri, Ted Chambers, Ozark, Missouri, Dave Chambers, Strafford, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A celebration of life service will be 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the Eagle Creek Church in the Mill Walk Mall, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
