Frank Neil, of Harrisonville, Missouri, was born September 25, 1927 in Bona, Missouri, the son of Cook and Maggie(Beck) Neil. He departed this life Friday, February 15, 2008 at his home in Harrisonville at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 20 days.
On September 30, 1950, Frank was united in marriage to Helen Charlene Sawyer in Aldrich, Missouri.
Frank was employed as a machinist for Owens-Brockway, Kansas City, Missouri until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of South Haven Baptist Church, Belton, Missouri and was an Army veteran. Frank loved farming and being around cattle, enjoyed reading cowboy books, watching westerns, building anything and remodeling homes. He had lived in Butler, Missouri before moving to Harrisonville in 2001.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Neil on July 15, 2007 and five sisters.
He is survived by three sons, Randy Neil and with Beth, Peculiar, Missouri; Ronnie Neil and wife Rose and Dale Neil and wife Sheila all of Belton, Missouri; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise Neil, Springfield, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral service were held Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
