Gene Ferguson

September 11, 2008 — July 8, 2014

Our Gene was born September 11, 2008 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Gene was a great little boy from day one. He loved to play with cars, power wheels, his go cart and his pony, Candy. His dog, Walmart, went everywhere outside with him. Gene liked Sunday school, daycare and his pre-school. He made friends everywhere. Gene had friends at Wal-Mart, Price Chopper and other places. He was always saying to his papa, I like to play. Gene liked game shows on TV and his dad had just got him a gameboy. The world was a better place for the time Gene was with us.
Gene is survived by his father, Tony Marvin Cory of the home; his adopted parents, Tim and Margie Ferguson of the home; two sisters, Cheyenne Ferguson of the home, and Kathi Knight and her husband Jim of Garden City, Missouri; a brother, Frankie Jones of the home; an uncle, Joshua Cory, Abilene, Texas extended family, Barbara Wilkinson of Dennison, Texas, Sharon Wallace of Kansas City, Missouri; God Parents, Rickey and Layne Ferguson; paternal great-grandfather, Orval Monroe of Great Bend, Kansas; other relatives and many friends and all who knew him at school and daycare as spider man.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the Church On The Rock, 5110 Brookhard Rd., Harrisonville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.
