Eugene ""Gene"" Edwards Wilson, of Farmington, Missouri, was born January 4, 1921 in Goodland, Missouri, the son of Charles William and Goldie May (Huitt) Wilson. He departed this life Monday, January 29, 2007, at his home in Farmington at the age of 86 years and 25 days.
Gene was a Chief Radioman in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War before retiring after 25 years of service. He had lived in Harrisonville, Missouri before moving to Farmington.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William ""Bill"" H. Wilson Sr.
He is survived by two daughters, Jamie Robertson and husband Randy and Genell Schubert and husband Steve all of St. Joseph, Missouri; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held Friday, February 2, 2007 at Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Family suggests contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
