Gerri A. Ward

Gerri Alliene Ward of Clinton, Missouri formerly of Urich, Missouri was born August 10, 1973 in Harrisonville, Missouri the daughter of Gerald Allen and Shirley J. (Williams) Ward. She departed this life on Friday, January 23, 2015 at her home in Clinton at the age of 41 years, 5 months and 13 days.
Gerri was proud to be a certified nurse's assistant at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Missouri from February 1992 until her retirement in November of 2010 due to medical problems. She was a member of the Urich Baptist Church, Urich. A 1992 graduate of Sherwood High School, Creighton, Missouri and a 1992 graduate of Clinton Area Vocational School Health Occupation Class. Gerri loved being around people and called the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital staff her family. She grew up in Urich and was raised by her loving grandmother, Catherine Ward. Gerri had several "adopted" grandmothers in Urich who loved her and watched over her.
Gerri was preceded in death by her parents.
Gerri is survived by her two Aunts, Charlene McGee, Harrisonville, Missouri, Reta Vogt, Urich, Missouri; special friends, Linda May Jones, Creighton and Blayne Paxton, Clinton, Missouri; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Dayton Cemetery near Garden City, Missouri.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Urich Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
