Glen David Rice, of Louisburg, Kansas was born July 17, 1963 in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin the son of Gordon Burnell Rice and Josephine Koomoa (Garcia) Hebebrand. He departed this life Thursday, October 6, 2005 at his home in Louisburg at the age of 42 years, 2 months and 19 days.
Glen was a self- employed carpenter. He had lived in Independence, Hawaii and Oak Grove, Missouri before moving to Louisburg in 1981.
He is survived by his father and step-mother, Gordon and Claudine Rice, Drexel, Missouri; his mother, Josephine Hebebrand, Olathe, Kansas; a son, Blane; three daughters, Chantayle, Mikayla and Jaqueline; a brother, Stephen Rice, Louisburg, Kansas; six sisters, Julia Spence, Kansas City, Missouri, Laura Rasa, Olathe, Kansas, Stephanie Kasper, Belton, Missouri, Michelle Rice, Overland Park, Kansas, Christine Martinez, San Diego, California, Denise Rice, Overland Park, Kansas; his companion, Melanie Rogers of the home; two step-brothers, Robert Finley, Kansas City, Kansas, D. Greg Finley, Highland, Utah; a step-sister, Vanessa Gentry, Lee's Summit, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville with burial in the Sharon Cemetery, Drexel, Missouri.
