Guy Jackson Pulliam, 79, of Archie, Missouri was born on March 19, 1934 in rural Harrisonville, Missouri the son of Robert Lee and Edith (Shawgo) Pulliam. He entered Heaven’s Gates on Friday, March 22, 2013. He left this world from his home in Archie, surrounded by his family.
He graduated from the 8th grade at Bill School outside of Harrisonville.
On September 9, 1952, Guy was united in marriage to Rosemary Hook in Bentonville, Arkansas and to this union four children were born. Guy and Rosemary lived in Archie for over fifty years. Guy was the produce manager for Nyman’s and Buy-rite grocery stores in Harrisonville. He also worked painting houses and water towers. Later in life he was a janitor at Archie School. Guy enjoyed antique cars, car races, wrestling and his family.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Johnny, Roy, and three sisters, Maxine, Marie and Ethel.
Guy is survived by his wife, Rosemary; daughter Angela Arnold and husband, Curtis, of Warsaw; daughter Terri Gilliland and husband, Don, of Archie; son Michael Pulliam of Archie; daughter Dee Kisner and husband, Monty, of Archie; 15 grandchildren Chawn Arnold, Brandy Nicoletti, Jason Arnold, Theresa Gilliland, Elizebeth Giacone, Billie Gilliland, Lani Vaughn, Bear McCulley, Cathy Hodges, Ashley Ellis, Chuck Bolinger, Shannon Kisner, Ashley Patterson, Chris Shannon, and Kody Kisner; 17 great-grandchildren; three brothers Eddie, Ralph and Charlie; and one sister Lucy; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service was held Wed. March 27, 2013 at the Everett Community Church near Archie, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Heartland Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Cass County Cremation Service, Harrisonville, Missouri.
