Harold Edward Adams, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born March 14, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Estol Ray Adams and Stella Cleo (Simmons) Adams. He departed this life on Monday, January 9, 2017 at the St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City at the age of 64 years, 9 months and 26 days.
Harold graduated from Truman High School in 1970 and jointed the United States Air Force where he served 4 active and 2 not-active years. He was a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Specialist. On September 5, 1981, Harold married the love of his life, Pauline Louise Stark in Lexington, Missouri and then moved to Harrisonville.
On January 17, 1985, Wendy Michelle was born. On September 24, 2010, Wendy was united in marriage to Kevin Overcast. On September 4, 2013 they gave birth to a granddaughter, Alyssa Ann.
Harold worked at R&D Tool of Lee's Summit for 20 years and was a machinist and a fine one.
Harold was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Kenneth Adams; a father-in-law, Carl Stark.
Harold is survived by his wife, Pauline Adams of the home; a daughter, Wendy Overcast and husband Kevin, Harrisonville, Missouri; a granddaughter, Alyssa Ann; his mother, Cleo Adams, Independence, Missouri; two brothers, Larry K. Adams, Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Douglass E. Adams, Independence, Missouri; three sisters, Darlene Marriott, Glensted, Missouri, Judy Parker and Gloria Adams both of Independence, Missouri; mother-in-law, Evelyn Stark and brother-in-law, Lawrence Stark both of Higginsville, Missouri; sister-in-law, Carol Howard, Lexington, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Dickey Funeral Home with a Military Honors Service at 3:00 p.m.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Harold Adams Memorial Fund.
Family request casual dress for the visitation.
