Ida Beecham, 94, Harrisonville, Mo, passed away with family at her side at Meadow View of Harrisonville. Ida was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Ida was born in Roland, Arkansas and graduated high school in Perry, Arkansas. Ida worked at the State Hospital in Boonville, Arkansas as a nurse. She met her husband Ed there while he worked as an X-Ray technician. They were married on December 7, 1942. They shared 72 years of marriage.
Ida was considered the business ambassador for the family business, Ed's Radiator in Kansas City, Mo. Ed and Ida started the business in 1959 until 1980 when they retired. Ida enjoyed reading her bible, attending Eagle Creek Church and previously Crossroads Assembly.
Ida leaves her sons, Ron Beecham & Donna of Baldwin City, KS, Dan Beecham of Urich, Mo; and daughter Judy Mills & Roy of Garden City, Mo; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
Ida was preceded in death by her husband Ed; daughter-in-law Jill Beecham; two great grandchildren, Sydney Nicole Williams and Madilyn Coy Barnett; brother Wilburn Gardner; and sisters Essie Sharp and Marie Wade.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri with burial in the Garden City Cemetery.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
