Idabelle Ray, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born July 26, 1937 in Kansas City, Kansas the daughter of Frank and Mary (Conklin) Devine. She departed this life on Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri surrounded by love and family at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 29 days.
On February 1, 1957, Ida was united in marriage to Lloyd Ray in Miami, Oklahoma.
Ida had abundant faith in her Lord Jesus Christ and raised her children attending the Victory Baptist Church in Kansas City. After moving to Harrisonville, she became a member of the First Baptist Church. Ida lived as she believed that loving God, her husband
and family was always and forever. She loved to crochet and made a baby afghan for all the grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, David Ray and a sister, LeWanda Devine.
Ida is survived by her husband, Lloyd Ray of the home; two sons, Jeffrey Ray and wife Lori, Lenexa, Kansas, Michael Ray and wife Patsy, Lee's Summit, Missouri; a daughter, Cheryl Kirby and husband Max, Lee's Summit, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Frank Devine Jr, Independence, Missouri, James Devine, Overland Park, Kansas, David Devine, Gladstone, Missouri; a sister, Betty Kirby, Holden, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
The family received friends Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the First Baptist Church, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the First Baptist Church, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Graveside service were held Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Fair Grove, Missouri.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church, Harrisonville.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
